A favourite past time of the winter season is outdoor skating.  Local community groups and neighbourhood associations put incredible amounts of energy in maintaining these opportunities for our community.  What would we do without these local heroes challenging the variables of weather that Mother Nature gives us through the course of a winter season?

NEW! - for this year we have given each community outdoor rink their own page on the website (which you will notice at the left of this screen) where a calendar of events is posted.  Be sure to check out the rinks listed to see their schedule of events - many outdoor rink locations have regulations that indicate specific times for general skating and hockey, these times will be posted on the calendars.  Please be courteous of these times so all can enjoy themselves.

All the outdoor rinks have lights.  These outdoor rinks are operated by community volunteers, so please be sure to tell them how much you appreciate their efforts when you see them.  For more information about outdoor rinks call 519.885.1220 ext. 244.
