(Waterloo, ON – June 5, 2009) The doors to the City of Waterloo’s Service Centre – at 265 Lexington Ct. – will be opened to the public on June 13 during its annual open house.

The event – which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – will offer something for everyone in your family, with demonstrations, rides, information booths and more.

The 17th annual Public Works Service Centre open house will also give participants the chance to learn about the services the city and its partners provide, as well as the opportunity to tour the Service Centre yards and greenhouse.

Come ride a dump truck, play with farm animals or learn about rapid transit.

And plan to eat your lunch there too. A charity barbecue is being held that day to raise funds for Canadian Blood Services. Free popcorn, balloons and face painting will also delight the young guests.
