When the budget goes to council for approval
City staff released the 2024 to 2026 staff tabled budget to council and the public on December 11 2023. Council approved the budget on February 12 2024.
Important budget dates
- December 11 — the staff tabled budget was released to council and the public, the budget feedback survey opened, and the following rates were released and approved:
- city utility rates
- building standards fees
- cemetery services
- rental housing licensing fee
- business licensing fee
- January 9 — budget information session
- January 15, 22 and 29 — staff present business plans
- January 29 — staff shares public feedback results
- February 5 — capital budget review
