Badminton

Booking a game

Participants must bring their own racquets and birdies. All badminton activities take place at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex and RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex. Review the schedule when booking as it may change.

All participants must pre‐register online on ActiveWaterloo. Registration will open 72 hours prior to each badminton time slot.

Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex schedule

• games will be played with 20 people, 4 per court
• players get 1 hour and 20 minutes of play
• rotation on and off courts between games is required
• Youth badminton — for ages 14 to 17 years only
• Family badminton — intended for multi-generational play, age 6 years and up
• All other timeslots are for age 10 years and up
  
  

Fall badminton league

Session one – Tuesdays (18+)

Register as a team or as a free agent by September 8.

• runs from September 19 to November 14
• games are at RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex
• game times are 9:15 and 10:15 p.m.
• includes 8 weeks of play, 2 game a night (3 sets per game)
• levels of play: Recreational, Intermediate and Advanced

Session two – Tuesdays (18+)

Register as a team or as a free agent by September 8.

• runs from November 21 to January 16
• games are at RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex
• game times are 9:15 and 10:15 p.m.
• includes 8 weeks of play, 2 game a night (3 sets per game)
• levels of play: Recreational, Intermediate and Advanced
