History of our cemeteries

Since 1966, Parkview Cemetery has been providing caring services of unparalleled quality to City of Waterloo and neighbouring communities.

Parkview Cemetery was an expansion of Mount Hope Cemetery which has been providing services to families over 150 years, established in 1865.

In an effort to meet the needs and desires of the community, a crematorium was added to the Chapel at Parkview Cemetery in 1978, to offer a choice of cemetery services.

A final resting place is a sacred place for you and your loved ones to visit, gather and remember. Designed to be enjoyed by the living, Parkview Cemetery is very formal with evergreen hedging throughout. Mount Hope Cemetery offers a more natural, less formal setting.

The City of Waterloo museum offers themed walking tours in Mount Hope cemetery. Visit the museum website for more details.
