Cash, cheque, debit and credit are accepted in person at the Rec Complex and RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex. Credit cards are accepted over the by phone at 519-886-1177.

Community centres
Adult Recreation Centre (ARC) |
The ARC has a community room that seats 125 people (with tables), and well as four meeting rooms. The largest holds 75 people. Meeting rooms have various amenities and basic audio/video equipment. |
Albert McCormick Community Centre (AMCC) |
AMCC is located in the Lakeshore Village and has twin ice pads (56 x 26m), with off-season floor rentals. The ice pads have 300 spectator seats on the East Rink and 399 spectators seats on the West rink, nine dressing rooms, a referee room, end zone score boards and shot clocks. An upper viewing lounge overlooks the ice with room for 100 people standing or 75 with tables and chairs. It has 30.5 meters of candle lighting for television. The facility also has two meeting rooms. The room holds up to 175 people and the smaller room holds up to 50. The larger room has a kitchen with a bar area and a large stage. |
Moses Springer Community Centre |
Moses Springer Community Centre has an arena (56 x 26m) with four change rooms and 200 spectators seats. It has 30-metre candle lighting for television. It has a capacity of 1,080 on the arena floor. The swimming pool is an eight lane outdoor pool with two waterslides and three change rooms. It can accommodate groups up to 500 people, with a ramp and stairs to access shallow end. There is an attached meeting room that can accommodate up to 30 people. |
RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex |
RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex has four Olympic-sized ice pads and 36 large dressing rooms with showers. The Piller's rink has 500 spectator seats, a press box and a sound booth. The Optimist's and Lion's rinks have 250 spectator seats, and the Carolyn Fedy Skating Centre rink is home to the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club (KWSC), with an attached fitness centre. There is a main concession stand and a fully licensed restaurant. The indoor field house is 3,852 sq. m. that can be one large field or can be divided into three. It has spectator seating for 300 and true grass like turf. There are two NBA-sized gymnasiums with sprung maple floors that divide into four single gyms. Full court capacity is 1,300. A stage area is also available. The facility also has nine meeting rooms ranging in capacity from 30 to 80. Two of these rooms have a sink, with basic audio/visual equipment available for rent. The outdoor portion of the park has 12 multi-purpose sports fields, six enclosed ball diamonds and four sand beach volleyball courts. The sports fields have two international size artificial turf sport fields, four natural grass fields with lighting, player benches with spectator seating, onsite washroom facilities, accessible parking, a pavilion, community playground and a walking/running loop. |
Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (WMRC) |
WMRC has an Olympic-sized ice pad with 3,400 spectator seats and a viewing capacity of 4,800. It has eight large dressing rooms with showers, two referee rooms with showers, a press box, first-aid room, five concession booths, 300.5 metres candle lighting for television, 600-amp electrical service, an ice surface that can be covered with plywood, and event staging at a maximum of 8.5 x 12m. The Swimplex has an eight lane swimming pool with a three storey waterslide, a diving tower and springboards, swirlpool and separate play area for kids. There are three meeting rooms that can accommodate between 25 to 40 people. |
Wing 404 |
Wing 404 is located at 510 Dutton Dr. and has a community room that seats 120 people with tables and a meeting room that holds up to 40 people. |
Parks and outdoor spaces
Bechtel Park |
Bechtel Park has three outdoor soccer fields, one of which is lit, a hardball diamond and four lit tennis courts. The Manulife Financial Soccer and Sports Centre (located within Bechtel Park) has an indoor field house with 33.5 x 61.5m of artificial turf and a ceiling height of 11 meters. It has two dressing rooms. |
Hillside Park |
Hillside Park has two fully lit and enclosed ball diamonds, a batting cage, change rooms and a pavilion. The park lies on 62 acres and offers three km of trails. |
Waterloo Park |
Waterloo Park is located uptown and offers rental space for picnic shelters and gazebos. Shelters can accommodate 60 to 200 people and some can be used in conjunction to host larger groups. Picnic shelters are located on the east and west sides of our park. Refer to this map to see what shelter matches your needs. Most offer access to electricity and water, with the hospitality area on the west side of the park offering a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge, freezer and counter space. Note that barbecues cannot be kept underneath a canopy, but can be used on grassy space. Inflatables are permitted on certain locations at the park, providing you have proper insurance. Please discuss this with our outdoor program manager. Weddings photo bookings are available for 1.5 hour time slots from May to October. Bookings are available at the Victoria Gardens and/or the Grist Mill. You can also rent the Grist Mill for a wedding ceremony, for up to 75 guests and a maximum of three hours. The splash pad is open from June to Labour day weekend in September from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Accessible onsite change rooms, picnic and shaded areas and the Park Inn concession are nearby. While the splash pad is not available for rent, the nearby gazebos are able to provide privacy and shade for your event. |
Waterloo Public Square |
Waterloo Public Square is the heart of uptown Waterloo with a skating rink in the wintertime, a bustling courtyard, amphitheatre seating, portable covered chairs, tables and ample parking. Visit the square's webpage to learn more about rentals. |
Westmount Sports Park |
Westmount Sports Park is surrounded by environmental reserves and offers three grass sports fields, two of which are lit. There is an accessible washroom, trails, and an interactive playground that highlights native bird species in the surround woodlands. |
Walk routes
These routes are designed for accessibility and ease of use in organizing charity walks. No road closures or police services are required if rules of the road are followed per the Highway Traffic Act.

- 76 to 250 participants - $194.14
- 251 to 750 participants - $421.55
- 751 to 1500 participants - $709.47
- 1501+ participants - $928.27
Fees include shared use of the space with all available public amenities such as parking lots and washrooms. Many routes are located nearby other locations with additional rental facilities and services.
Extra costs can include rented rooms, fields or picnic shelters, porta-potties, tents, picnic tables, additional waster bins, bleachers, electrical connection and fencing. These rentals may be subject to additional policies and regulations.
Routes
AMCC/David Johnson Research Park |
These routes are located on the west side of Waterloo near the Albert McCormick Community Centre (AMCC). The 3km and 5km routes are on paved trails and sidewalks and are fully accessible. The routes wind through David Johnston R&T Park and the 3km route requires only a single road crossing to complete. The crossing occurs at an intersection with traffic lights, allowing for controlled crossings. Event organizers will find this route quiet and low in traffic volume on weekends, especially Sunday mornings when fundraising walks and runs are most popular. Located AMCC, which has bookable indoor space. This facility also features washrooms and some parking.

Kiwanis - Bechtel Park |
Located on the east side of Waterloo near Bechtel Park, these routes are suitable for up to 500 participants. Both routes are fully accessible, are contained to paved sidewalks and are in loop formation. The 3km route involves one road crossing, while the 5km involves two road crossings. All road crossings at traffic lights. Parking and washroom facilities are available nearby in Bechtel Park. Access to the Manulife Soccer and Sport indoor facility requires additional indoor facility or field booking.

Waterloo Park Ring Road |
This route is located in the central area of uptown Waterloo on the east side of Waterloo Park. This 1.5km loop route is paved and fully accessible. Participants will enjoy being contained within the park setting and avoiding road crossings. The east side of Waterloo Park also features the Eby Farmstead and the Park Inn food services. Limited onsite parking. Located close to Ion Light Rail and Grand River Transit stops. Accessible washroom facilities.

Waterloo Park West |
This route is located in the central area of uptown Waterloo on the west side of Waterloo Park. This 2km loop route features a variety of different terrain including paved roads, sidewalks and stone dust trails. The west side of Waterloo Park offers several amenities that are available for booking including a picnic shelter and servery. Limited onsite parking. Located close to Ion Light Rail and Grand River Transit stops. Accessible washroom facilities.
